Edge announces CEO transition as company sharpens focus on core strategy

Boudewijn Ruitenburg appointed CEO with immediate effect; will focus on delivering best-in-class sustainable buildings in core markets
Edge, the European sustainable real estate developer, manager and investor, today announces that Marian Herman has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. The shareholders have appointed Boudewijn Ruitenburg as CEO.
The transition reflects a strategic reset. Market conditions have evolved, and Edge's shareholders and Board have concluded that a sharper focus on its core strategies is required. Under this focused strategy, Edge will continue to develop, redevelop, and invest in projects across office and residential, while delivering asset management services to its partners and clients. Sustainability remains at the core of Edge’s vision and proposition, and will continue to drive our investment and product decisions.
Boudewijn brings more than 18 years of experience at Edge, with a proven track record across development, investment, and client relationships in the company's targets markets. He has been instrumental in building the entrepreneurial culture that sits at the heart of the business.
Bas van Holten, Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Board at Edge said:
This decision reflects a clear-eyed assessment of where the market is today and where Edge can create the most value. Boudewijn brings deep expertise in our core markets, alongside strong client relationships. As we transition to new leadership, we thank Marian for his contribution and wish him well in his next endeavors.
Boudewijn Ruitenburg, CEO at Edge, said:
Edge has always stood for doing things differently: building for the long term, for people, and with sustainability at the core. I know the business and this team well. My focus will be on executing with discipline, deepening our client relationships, and making sure Edge continues to set the standard in our home markets.
