Edge and Akiş REIT partner on residential development project in Berlin
Edge, the pan-European real estate developer and investor, has entered into a strategic partnership with Akiş REIT for the development of a residential project in Berlin-Lichtenberg. The project, which is planned to comprise more than 150 residential units, marks Akiş REIT’s first investment in Germany and represents an important milestone in Edge’s growing Build-to-Rent platform.
Located in Berlin-Lichtenberg, the development will be situated in a well-connected urban district with strong public transport links and close proximity to educational institutions and local amenities. The project is intended to contribute to Berlin’s growing need for high-quality rental housing while supporting the continued development of the district. Construction is planned to begin in 2027, with completion anticipated in 2029.
