Facts
EDGE Suedkreuz Berlin prioritizes sustainability by using natural resources efficiently to create attractive, affordable, and healthy buildings.

The building was constructed using a recyclable hybrid timber system, offering not only provides an impressive design element but also contributes to a positive environmental impact and occupant well-being – even leading to slower heartbeat. This approach aligns with Edge’s circular economy concept, making the buildings innovative, intelligent, and modular.

This prime location enhances accessibility, with train stations, parks, and shops all within a 10-minute walking distance. The area, shaped like a lens, stretches from Suedkreuz to Schöneberg station along its longitudinal axis, with railway tracks marking its northern boundary and Sachsendamm its southern.

EDGE Suedkreuz Berlin combines cutting-edge design with well-being-enhancing infrastructure.

Two buildings, “Carré” and “Solitaire”, line Hedwig-Dohm-Strasse, creating a charming square opposite Suedkreuz train station. A glazed atrium over 7 metres high invites visitors into the Carré. Under its roof, tree-like structures of varying heights provide quiet zones and green spaces suspended within the spacious atrium. Filigree staircases connect platforms to the office units on the 6 upper floors. The lounge on the 5th floor offers a view of the entire atrium and access to four roof terraces.

These buildings use a cogeneration unit, embody the “circular economy,” and are smart, modular, and intelligent. Perforated ceiling panels heat, cool, and absorb sound, creating serene spaces. Offices, meeting rooms, and open areas feature these elements, with smartphone controls allowing personalized comfort, blending user-friendliness and advanced technology into truly remarkable structures.
