EDGE Stadium continues to attract industry leaders, welcoming Miro as key tenant

Today, Edge announces that Miro, the visual workspace for innovation, co-headquartered in Amsterdam and San Francisco, will rehouse its Amsterdam office to EDGE Stadium.

Miro will occupy more than a third of the building, approximately 10.500 square meters on the second, third and fourth floors of EDGE Stadium, a highly sustainable 29,500 square-meter redevelopment delivered in March 2023 to PIMCO, the building’s Asset Manager. The relocation of Miro’s office confirms that sustainable office space is on the top of many tech companies’ wish lists as they look to hit their ESG targets.

This move is a fantastic opportunity for Miro to create the best space for all Amsterdam-based employees under one roof. It will enhance our ability to collaborate, introducing highly-flexible, ergonomic workspaces alongside community spaces that will allow our culture to thrive. Critically, the building’s design meets our high standards for sustainability, and Edge’s commitment to creating green spaces supports our ethos of bringing nature indoors. Finally, the relocation to EDGE Stadium places Miro at the centre of Amsterdam’s thriving technology community alongside companies including Google, Uber, Salesforce, and Okta,

About Miro’s office, EDGE Stadium

Miro, currently housing over 800 professionals at Stadshouderskade, expects to move to EDGE Stadium in Autumn 2024. The new 10.500-square-meter office will bring Miro’s workforce an inspiring place to work, connect and meet.

Located in the “Olympic Area” of Amsterdam, the new office will offer its tenant a stunning view overlooking the traditional canals of the city while being located five minutes away from the active business district, Zuidas. Redesigned by atelier Pro architecten, the building retains original architectural elements from 20 years ago while integrating innovative features that enhance user experience. A so-called IP Backbone was implemented in order to optimize the building’s energy consumption and enhance future users’ well-being. Beyond the technology aspects, plenty of greenery has been incorporated, such as a 10-meter-tall Ficus Alii in the heart of the 1,500-square-meter atrium. All biophilic design elements aim to create a vibrant and healthy environment for Miro’s employees.

For this transaction, Edge was respectively advised commercially by 1530 real estate and CBRE, and legally by Loyens & Loeff.
