Edge's HQ rises to the top as one of the world's best offices with record-breaking employee experience score

Edge's headquarters located on the fourth floor of the EDGE Olympic building in Amsterdam, has reached the highest Leesman Index (LMI) result of all European offices, with a score of 87.9. In the 50 employees or more category, this achievement places Edge's headquarters among the top 3.3% of the best office environment to work in, globally.

The LMI score was determined by Leesman, the global independent authority on workplace experience. The score is calculated from two areas of enquiry - Workplace Impact and Work Activities - and is widely recognized as the global standard measure of workplace experience.

Edge's commitment to providing an excellent community-driven workplace to its employees and clients is a testament to the company's efforts to incorporate technology to support a productive and sustainable work environment.

EDGE Olympic, features state-of-the-art facilities and a range of amenities designed to enhance the comfort, safety and wellbeing of its employees. Some of the key features include flexible workspaces with a variety of desk options, several lounge areas, a fully equipped gym, and two large outdoors areas to work and relax from. With a strong focus on employee satisfaction, Edge’s goal is to create a work environment that balances performance with regeneration through biophilic design elements, low acoustic materials and technology continuously optimizing indoor environmental conditions.

The presence of natural daylight that comes from the atrium, accounts for up to 90% of interior lighting, combined with a continuous supply of 100% fresh, circulating air, significantly reduces the risk of occupant fatigue. The headquarters of the Dutch real estate developer is a direct reflection of its sustainability and wellbeing goals creating a modern and supportive place to work, that offers employees the opportunity to thrive in a comfortable and inspiring atmosphere.

The score has improved over the years, in part thanks to the marriage of technology and design to enhance employee satisfaction and happiness. The score in 2019 resulted in 81.7 and led to the office’s first Leesman+ award. With the Covid-19 pandemic between the two measurements, the score of Edge’s HQ is now 7,6% higher compared to 2019. Improving the working environment through innovations and technology lies at the core of what Edge offers and aligns with the company’s ethos to invest in people’s health and wellbeing as a long-term objective.
