Edge sells landmark Five55 asset to anchor tenant MSC

Leading European real estate developer and emerging investment manager, Edge is pleased to announce the sale of Five55, the landmark office tower at Blaak 555 in Rotterdam, to its anchor tenant, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). The transaction highlights Edge’s evolving investment strategy and demonstrates a strong example of the firm’s commitment to identifying and executing real estate investments.

Edge acquired Five55 in December 2024, recognizing its position as one of Rotterdam’s most prominent office towers in the heart of the Central Business District. Originally designed by Murphy Jahn and extensively refurbished in 2020, Five55 offers approximately 28,500 square meters of premium office space across 28 floors.

Commenting on the transaction, Onno Saes, Executive Director Transactions at Edge, said:

Selling Five55 to MSC, the buildings anchor tenant, is a natural step that reflects both the strength of the asset and the confidence MSC has in its long-term future at Blaak Five55. We are pleased to facilitate this transaction, which allows MSC to deepen its roots in Rotterdam.
