Edge secures €456 million asset management mandates with German pension funds

Edge, one of Europe‘s leading sustainable and innovative real estate companies, has reached a significant milestone in its next phase of growth with the launch of a German integrated real estate platform including development, investment & asset management.

As part of the company's strategic realignment to expand its capabilities beyond real estate development, Edge is extending its proven investment and asset management model from the Netherlands into Germany by undertaking the management of a portfolio of seven retail and office assets for five German pension funds. Six assets are located in Germany and one in the Netherlands.

A second mandate involves an office project development and asset management for an existing portfolio of residential and office properties in Berlin on behalf of another German institutional client.

Joachim Wintzer, Managing Director of Edge Germany, comments:

We are delighted to have the opportunity to manage this portfolio and to use our significant technical expertise to offer our clients real added value. This mandate marks a key milestone in Edges evolution into a fully integrated real estate platform.

Earlier this year, Edge announced a new German leadership team with the appointments of Jan Salzmann and Joachim Wintzer. Under their direction, the German team has expanded to 20 professionals, positioning the company to capitalise on significant growth opportunities in both the German residential, office and investment market.

This newly announced €456 million in combined mandates underscores Edge's successful expansion strategy and reinforces its position as a leading sustainable real estate investor and manager across Europe. This move also aligns with Edge’s successful track record of ‘brown-to-green’ repositioning that upgrade existing properties to meet tomorrow’s sustainability standards and provide outsized returns for investors.
