Leading European real estate developer and emerging investment manager Edge, announces the strategic appointment of Jan Felipe Salzmann as Co-Managing Director for the German team, effective June 1st. With over 15 years of experience in the international real estate industry, Jan Felipe will play a key role in accelerating Edge’s growth and strengthening its market presence in Germany.

Prior to joining Edge, Jan Felipe worked at Greystar for the past 1.5 years, where he focused on real estate transactions and investment management. Jan Felipe’s appointment comes at a pivotal time, as Edge accelerates its development, investment and investment management strategy in Germany, and prepares for a broader leadership transition with Marian Herman stepping in as CEO and Coen van Oostrom moving into his new role as Executive Chairman from September.

Coen van Oostrom, Founder & Executive Chairman at Edge, commented: Jan Felipe brings the strategic insight and international experience needed to elevate our ambitions in Germany. His deep understanding of both capital markets and real estate development will help us grow our portfolio and outperform expectations in the market.

On his new role, Jan Felipe Salzmann said: Joining Edge at this moment in time is exciting. The companys forward-looking approach to smart, sustainable real estate aligns perfectly with my vision of where the industry is headed. I look forward to building on this momentum with the Edge German team.

Jan Felipe Salzmann will assume the role of Co-Managing Director, overseeing development and commercial operations alongside Co-Managing Director Joachim Wintzer and Executive Finance Director, Martin Wetjen. In addition, he will join the German management team, working closely with Robert Steiner and Andreas Jorsch to drive the company’s strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
