Edge and VORM welcome Cinema The Pulse to Zuidas district

Edge and VORM are proud to announce the arrival of a new cinema operator in Amsterdam's upcoming vibrant 58,000 square meters mix-used development, The Pulse of Amsterdam. Founded by a group of film entrepreneurs from Amsterdam under the banner of Cinebeat, Cinema The Pulse is set to become a creative meeting place for cinephiles and film enthusiasts in Amsterdam Zuidas.

The heart of The Pulse of Amsterdam
With a total of nine state-of-the-art theaters, including six large theaters and three smaller ones, Cinema The Pulse boasts approximately 800 seats to cater film lovers of all kinds across 3,000 square meters of cinema experience. Audiences can expect a broad and high-quality range of films, including regular new movie offerings as well as a unique Cinema-On-Demand experience in the three smaller theaters.

Located in the iconic building The Pulse of Amsterdam, Cinema The Pulse occupies a central position both literally and figuratively. The mix-used development features two towers: the residential tower and the office tower, connected by a plinth offering a green oasis for relaxation and biodiversity. Nestled between the towers, at a height of 35 meters on the ninth floor, a spectacular urban forest of approximately 600 sqm will provide another relaxation space.

Cinema The Pulse also aims to be a hub for the building’s future residents and business users, with special facilities and offerings tailored to their needs. In addition to the cinema and the urban forest, The Pulse of Amsterdam will feature spacious and attractive catering facilities, retail space, office space, and residential apartments creating a dynamic and diverse environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and community in the heart of Zuidas.

Construction of The Pulse of Amsterdam building began in the summer of 2021 and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024. The project has been developed by VORM and Edge, and VORM Bouw is responsible for the construction. Investor Union Investment has acquired the property 2021 for its open-ended real estate fund UniImmo: Deutschland.
