Edge and 3W real estate announce the successful completion of the new headquarters for dsm-firmenich

Edge and 3W real estate are proud to announce the completion ofdsm-firmenich’s new headquarters in the heart of Maastricht. This state-of-the-art building sets a new benchmark for sustainability and design, integrating the first Paris-Proof national monument in the Netherlands.

Located in the vibrant district of Wyck, this project uniquely combines the charm of the national monumental Ambachtsschool to the modern design of a new building. Together with Dutch architects BroekBakema, the real estate developers have worked on bringinga smart, sustainable and healthy workspace, showcasing historical essence while integrating modern features such as the large atrium with natural lightin a biophilic design.

dsm-firmenich, an innovator in nutrition, health and beauty, will soonoperate from a building that truly reflects its purpose of bringing progress to life. This turnkey building allowed dsm-firmenich to work closely with Fokkema and BroekBakema to incorporate open spaces, biophilic elements and choose a fit out that marries the old with the new, promoting well-being and environmental consciousness.

Thanks to the implementation of solar panels on the façade and roof, but also some smart sensors, the Maastricht office will be Paris Proof. The project team also aims for the building to receivethe highest certifications of sustainability and wellbeing to date: BREEAM Outstanding2020 and WELL Platinum.
