Edge acquires landmark Five55 asset in Rotterdam

Edge is proud to announce the acquisition of Five55, located on Blaak 555, a landmark office tower in the heart of Rotterdam’s Central Business District. This strategic purchase aligns with Edge’s evolving role as an asset manager and reinforces its commitment to transforming existing properties through its "Brown to Green" strategy in the long term.
Five55 is a 28,500 square meter multi-tenant property offering premium office spaces in one of the city’s most prominent locations, across 27 floors. Originally completed in 1996 and designed by architectural firm Murphy Jahn, the 107-meter tower was fully refurbished in 2020 to meet modern tenants’ standards, ensuring it remains an excellent choice in Rotterdam.
Edge will take on the management of the building following the acquisition, continuing its focus on sustainability and innovation.
Following the Cross Towers acquisition completed earlier this year, adding Five55 to our portfolio marks a pivotal step for Edge as we expand from developing and retrofitting sustainable properties to actively managing them. This investment highlights our commitment to delivering energy-efficient buildings and addressing the growing demand for sustainable solutions in the market.
Onno Saes, Director Transactions at Edge.
Edge will continue to enhance the property’s sustainable features, positioning Five55 as a benchmark for green transformation in one of the Netherlands’ leading business hubs.

CBRE acted as the commercial advisor for this transaction, with Loyens & Loeff providing legal counsel.
